[Photo=TexasN] Last March, the Dallas Korean Association and Coppell Deputy Mayor Youngju Jeon officially announced that she became the Republican candidate for the November Texas State House of Representatives election, appealing for the support of the Korean community in Texas.

The Dallas Korean Association (President Seonghan Kim) is launching a voter registration campaign. According to the Dallas Korean Association, they will assist in the registration of Korean voters at New Song Church on the 22nd (Sunday) in collaboration with the campaign of Youngju Jeon, who is running for the Texas State House.

Under the theme “The future of the Korean community depends on voting, and voting changes the future,” the Dallas Korean Association plans to encourage Korean voters to participate in the election. At New Song Church, from the 1st worship service (8 AM) to the 3rd worship service, there will be official services including a short greeting from Youngju Jeon, a prayer of unity for the entire congregation, and a pastor’s blessing prayer for the candidate. After the services, voter registration assistance will be provided on-site.

To vote in the election, which will be held on November 5, one must be a U.S. citizen and 18 years or older as of the election day, and must complete voter registration by October 7. To register on-site, a valid driver’s license and the last four digits of your Social Security number are required.
